There is no torque spec for the spindle nut. Tighten the nut enough to ensure the bearings are seated, loosen the adjustment, and then take it down again to *just* achieve zero free play as you wiggle the brake disc by hand.....or as close as you can get.

The seals are a real bear in my experience. They fit onto the spindle, not onto the hub. A piece of PCV pipe is a helpful DIY installer tool.

I have vowed to never replace them again unless there was a clear sign that they were leaking.

I'd rather change a head gasket on a taurus than replace the grease seals for the front hubs.

I'm kidding of course, but you get the idea.

If you put the new grease seal in hot water for a couple of minutes and then a little grease on the stub axle it'll go on with a good hard push. need very strong thumbs though..... good luck!
