Default Fuel Tank Lid.

I have a 1996 X330. I recently attempted to re-fuel the car. The fuel tank lid refused to open! I opened the boot(trunk) and fiddled with the assembly to no avail. I am led to believe that there id an over-ride cord in there , but I did not see it. Any ideas? Where is the supposed cord fitted and what does it operate? Alec G.

I went back into the boot and discovered a small hole on one of the activation brackets. I pushed a thin wire into said hole and pulled! This released to filler flap! Hooray! I guess that I could spray some WD 40 or suchlike in the area to help any further issue. Alec G.
