hi all changing plugs in 95 xj6 is it necassary to get coil pack gaskets as well because there are none there now and plugs look as though they have not been changed since 1995?

 

Opinions vary on how essential they are. I think they're simpy intended to keep dirt out....not a bad thing, of course, but ?

New ones are silly expensive from Jaguar....$5.00-$6.00 each. I've often wondered if some 50-cent each thermostat housing gaskets would work?
