Hello all-
New to the forum but a 20 year Jaguar owner.
I have had the same X300VDP for 13 happy years!
My trouble is the gearshift interlock will not disengage with out the brakes applied in any gear. The interlock solenoid clicks when braking.The automatic door locks also do not engage when the car is put in gear.

What components might be suspect and where precisely would they be located?
On a schematic there is a "Not In Park" microswitch that might be the culprit. The tech data states it is on the J-Gate, but I'm not sure where. (Had the console apart many times for other issues.....)

I am sure that this question has been covered a multitude of times, but I would certainly appreciate any input.

FWIW- This car is harder to work on than my Corniche II! LOL!
