I seem to have a strange issue on my 95 Vanden Plas Jag. When I turn the light switch to second position the parking lights on the headlights turn on but on the right side it is at low light and that side headlamp turns on as well as on low brightness. Now when I turn the switch to position 3 the left side headlamp turns on full brightness but the right side still stays at that low light and I can not figure out why?

 

I had some headlight issues with different lights randomly working. it was all down to some crappy earthing, i traced the earth connections and renewed them and all is good since then.

Might not be your issue but it worked for me.
