Smile Heavy steering on first start up

I have noticed that following initial start up the steering seems a little heavy for about the first few miles. After that it seems to be normal with the great smooth feel. Is this a harbinger of things to come? Is changing the fluid a good idea? I replaced the main supply line about three years ago.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Change the fluid.

I run Synthetic ATF, and sweet as.

I also change that fluid annually on ALL my Jags.

Its cheap insurance anyhow, I'd basically try changing out the fluid and see where you go from there!
Chances are it'll resolve it for you.

I just had noticed a slight noise when heading towards full lock at low speeds, not a clunking or grinding, a type of moaning. steering fluid type of noise ( if that makes sense? )
Changed it out and boom, all nice n quiet again
