Help with diagnosing rear noise!
Hi guys, a little help here please with my 95 XJ6.
Whenever i give the car any steering input to the left, i hear a rhythmic and dull "voop voop voop" noise from the rear. The noise becomes very audible at 20-60 kmph range, increases in frequency as the speed rises, and becomes indistinguishable from road noise beyond 80kmph.
No noise when driving straight or with any steering input to the right .
I've rotated the wheels front to back, and the sound remains at the rear.
And here's the work that's been done - all parts listed below are genuine jaguarclassicparts.com and less than 2 years old!
JLM12138 Output Shaft Oil Seal
JLM20181 Retaining Plate
JLM621 O-Ring
JLM11527 Ball Bearing
JLM615 Shaft Bearing Retaining Collar
JLM11881E Differential 3.77
JLM1707 Front Wheel Bearing Kit
JLM1708 Rear Wheel Bearing Kit
What could be the issue here?

Dude , where did you find the 3.77 gear ?
My guess would be a side load on a rear wheel bearing( s ) . You can repack both bearings and retorque the nut as it may be loose . But then the bearing could be shot . The tapper on the bearing would point to the left bearing as you turn left it unloads the longitudinal force straight down the axis of rotation making it loose .

Got it from SNG Barrat
Is it common for rear bearings to wear out within 18 months? Especially since i paid a premium to make sure i got genuine parts?
And is there an easy way for me to confirm that it is indeed the rear wheel bearings? The classic tug and pull to check for excessive movement?
Thanks
