Help , M'Lady Penelope won't start
Something mis - wired below the crash switch on the crash switch 3 wires
Used the 2 white wire jumper method before a couple of years back and have a replacement crash switch as I put the suspect wires together in proper order

Penelope Lives , starts like a champ and goes vroom , vromm .............vroooooooooom
Crash switch wiring on closer inspection was OK
Alternator puts out 13.5 volts
Turns out the 1 gallon of fuel I put in the tank some years ago when emptied since then had evaporated or contaminated enough since refill back then for a no start
Lost tack of yearly timeline with other events but I kept the fuel age condition in may mind and had planed for the fuel change execution
Could hear the fuel gurgle in the tank with the fuel pump relay jumperd beyond the 4 second initial fuel rail charging, but that can be a normal sound of having enough fuel in the tank and just the FuelPpressure Regulator up front bypass stream pouring back into the tank
Topped off with 1 gallon of fresh fuel
Used single 1 battery factory configuration and even though the voltage gauge was lower then wanted , started without starter fluid
Now to verify that I did not leave out radiator fluid so short start runs , I could be setting myself up for a bore wash condition
After coolant verification will run the engine at Idle to burn off the tank of gas that is mixed with old and new fuel , change the main fuel filter and the fuel rail should self prime out of air with a newer gallon of fuel
I didn't register what was going on too much with the voltage gauge , just elated that she started after all this time
I came up with a single finger hand gestor design for a front windshield sun blocker
Thanks to everyone for the inputs into this time critical problem I faced but we beat the clock
Keep in mind that what I have learned on this car is from contributors like yourself and she lives to grace the roads

Lady P. is restored, excellent labs, things are looking bright. I hope you can spend some time with her on the roads now.
There has not been a giver on a level as yourself in the history of this forum. A true friend to the Jaguar and its owners! Much appreciated.
Well done, Parker!
As so often is the case with Jaguars, we immediately assume it's a complicated issue, but it proves to be something fundamental. The FAST acronym worked again: Fuel Air Spark Timing. Your logic and persistence paid off once again!
I second Richard's motion that you spend some time driving and enjoying Lady Penelope!
Cheers,
Don
