So here is what happened.

Someone who was doing a service on my 95 XJ6 somehow managed to break the clips that hold the drivers door panel on. Needless to say it dropped down, but not off. It did swing down.

I got the new clips and started to replace the door panel. At that time the drivers window failed to go down. The other three work fine. I'm thinking maybe, somehow, I knocked a wire loose.

I've secured the door panel so that I don't do anymore damage. So how do I remove the window buttons?

 

Sorry to say but I believe you will have to take off the door panel to be able to remove the switchpack

 

Yup, no other way
