Is anyone going to knock the reigning champion off his podium?

There must be some more high milers out there

I've still gotta replace the seals in the power steering pump. Other than that, she runs like a swiss clock.

I bought mine last year with 163k on it. It's now on about 167k and in the garage about to have the front sub-frame blasted and painted and new bushes everywhere.

It probably would have survived without, but it's a keeper and it's actually quite fun to do, especially over the winter whilst the council liberally spread salt on our roads.

My '95 has about 135k.

I'm sure it'll go 200k miles and more. Not saying that getting there will be trouble free or inexpensive, but I'm sure it'll get there !

And it'll probably be under different ownership. The gloss of X300 ownership has been getting increasingly dull over the last year or so.....

Cheers

Just passed 230,000 yesterday. I still haven't gotten around to replacing the steering pump seals since pouring 'motor honey' in the reservoir has slowed the leak to a negligible amount. I had to replace the timing chain tensioner ($112) last July, but that's been the only repair in the last year that cost anything (I renewed the brushes in blower motors with some I pilfered from an old drill).

Still running like a Swiss watch!

Doug, we bought our current 97 XJ6L from a club member because it simply was too good a deal and way to good a shape to pass up but quite frankly I'd rather have my Series III. I know they say that the X300 is when Jaguar got it right but after a year of ownership I'd have to say my Series III was far less troublesome and less finicky and IMHO way more stylish then my XJ6L plus it had that classic feel inside and out. I'm lucky enough to have an XJS too but I'd really like to find a 4.0 Coupe to replace the XJ6L with.....but those are like hen's teeth!

Well, mine is now retired, but not due to mechanical issues. It got hail bombed, the interior is worn out, the CC was peeling, and I have did not need a different Jag for each day of the week!

127k miles and going strong. I know not near the most miles reported here, but at 15k miles per year for the two years I've had her I'm encouraged that there may be many more miles to come. Mine is my daily driver and she's very reliable (knock on polyester coated burlwood)!

97 X300 Sport currently at 134,500 km (83,570 miles). Just run in IMO, going better than ever.

The local Jag repair shop has an X300 loan car (nice touch) which I've used on a couple of occasions, showing in excess of 400,000 km (248,000 plus miles). Recently refurbished and ready for the next 420k...

My 94 X300 has done just over 203k (although I've only done a few hundred with it so far), it hasn't had any major problems that I'm aware of, when I first got into Jags I was shocked at how high a mileage they can do if looked after properly.

There was an article in Jaguar Enthusiast a few years ago about a guy in Scandanavia somewhere who had a 1996 Daimler Century V12 with 700,000 km on it. Looked good in pictures.
