How to remove roof drip moulding chrome finisher?

Does anyone know how the chrome drip moulding finisher is removed (item 2 in the parts illustration) ?

I believe it can be pried (prised) off "very carefully".

Here is a short thread from X305 showing the cross section, from the service manual, as provided by Jeff.

Many thanks for this.

When I initially looked I noticed there was some play in the strips that made me think they may just pull off but I thought that I would ask first before just blundering in and breaking them.
No doubt aged and brittle plastic troubles lie in wait .......

Default Trim removal

It's best to pry it upwards from along the bottom edge. This will help to avoid cracking it. Once you get it started at either end it will come away easily in a sort of rolling upwards motion.
