Where do you get your data to make that statement about reliabilty?

All studies that I have read , about the XJ series, certainly do not back that up.
I own a '96 X300 VDP and an '03 X308 XJR. The X300 VDP has been a LOT cheaper to maintain. The X300 has 116K miles and the X308 has 126K miles.

Someone ( I think it was Andy ) mentioned that the MAF does not always read correctly with the ELM327 , mine didn't . He had a Voltage / Mass Air Flow table for the S/C meter different then the N/A meter and if you put a test lead on the wire as it comes into the ECU ( pin Red 4 , Green / Pink wire ) you can read the flow as you drive the car
