I have a 95 XJ6 VDP. I bought a Series III Maintenance Handbook and a Series III Handbook off e-bay and and I don't believe they are for my car. I have a warning light on the right side of the display near the bottom that I can't figure out what it is for. It looks like a box with a squiggly line on top. I am having heater problems and I am waiting for heater pump to come in and I was wandering if it has anything to do with that. Thanks ahead of time for any help I receive.

 

Yes you do have the wrong handbook etc. I looked at my 97 x300 owners manual with a close examination of the instrumentation/ warning lamps etc. and cant find anything like you describe. Perhaps it is something peculiar to the VDP or perhaps I am confused by the fact that my car is RHD and yours would be LHD and so the location of the warning light makes very little sense to me. Hang in there and I'm sure others will come to your rescue.

 

Is this it? Low coolant

 

check to see if your remote fill tank for coolant is filled to specification.
low coolant will affect heater performance
