Hi,
I'm trying to debug one of my key fobs that came with the car when I bought it. It has never worked even when trying to reprogram it to the car. The car never recognizes it when I put it in program mode. Both fob backs have the same FCC number stating a 433 MHz signal. I opened them both up and when comparing the circuit boards there are minor differences in the two. Curious to know if that is common or not. Can I get one or two people to post pictures of the 433 Mhz functional fob inners so I can compare to what I have. ( I did fix the one bad solder point in the remote on the bottom but still no dice)
Here are mine: Top one works the bottom will not, although they say they are the same part number.
I bought a cheap X Horse keyfob tester (about $25 on Amazon) that detects the RF signal and then indicates the frequency.
Better than guessing but I think auto parts stores can also test the transmitters?
Here is a pic of one of mine taken a few years ago. I dunno whether the other one is the same.
Cheers,
Jeff.
P.S. I checked and mine are both the same.
P.P.S. I notice that there is a numbered component in the FOBs, yours being 100 and 111 whereas both of mine have the number 100 but I don't know if there is any real difference. The micro push button switches in my FOBs were gummed up and INOP and the telltale lights would not illuninate so I liberally sprayed contact cleaner onto them and blew them out with compressed air and after a bit of working the switches they came good.
