Default Key Fobs Free to Good Home

Hi All,

I sold our '95 VDP last year, but I found two X300 key fobs in a drawer. I assume they were there because they either didn't work or need batteries.

If anyone would like these as either parts or to repair, send me PM and I'll be happy to send them to you.

Cheers

Hi Mac,

Would you be able to clarify if the fobs are 315 or 433 Mhz fobs? At some point along 1995 production, the frequency was changed from 315 to 433. Thanks for the generous offer, they will find good homes.

I’d gladly take them off of your hands - picked up my x300 with only one key and no fobs

Hi,
I have one 433Mhz key, but would like to have a spare for the wife.
If you have a 433Hz fob going spare, I would be interested.

Nobeel.

If there are any left I could use one. I love it when other members look out to help fellow enthusiasts. Well done.

Mac Allan's fobs are 315 MHz. They will only work on the 315MHz system installed on the X300 series up to VIN 758728 for long wheelbase, and 759614 for short wheelbase cars. This is according to TSB 18-12. The take-away is that all 1995 USA cars were on the 315 MHz system, but many earlier 1996 USA cars were too. 754304 was the first 1996 VIN in the USA.

Apologies, but the fobs went to the first individual to speak up. I may have some other X300 items in the garage and if I come across them, I'll be happy to let you all know.

Cheers
