i just bought a set of 18" penta wheels for my 97 xj that has 16" on it now
i need to go order some tires today and would like some input from anyone that has done the same
i've tried the thread search and can't come up with anything

thinking about 245/45/18 or 255's if they fit?
want to put a nice wide tire under it

Hi just saw your post, my computer crashed and I lost the username & password

I bought an 18" wheel and tyre package for my X300, the size was - 235/40ZR18

They had a wider size, so I assume the size you mentioned will be OK

The "experts" claim that if you fit larger than 16" ride quality will be affected, but I haven't noticed any difference after about 800 miles on the rim's

BTW the X300 has the same bolt pattern as the Aston Martin!.

 

Another person ask about some rims a few post ago read the post it might give you an idea of what to do. Don't woory about it saying 20's just read the post, it goes much deeper, it will stop you from making a possible mistake. DO NOT PUT 55s on you jag they will rub.
