Default Looking for manuals on rebuilding the Diff and a rebildable diff

I am looking for manuals on rebuilding Salisbury 14HU and Dana diffs. I was told that they are very similar, and that the Dana manual is much better written. Also looking to pick up a rebuildable diff for X300, X305 or X306 in the greater New England area.

PM member Brutal and see if he still has his for sale.

Brand new Powerlock 3.58. But check what model it is
meant for. If it has the jurid type plate at the front,
it will fit.

Motorcarman may have rebuildable cores around.

David at everydayxj.com is another source.

When I rebuilt the GKN Salisbury 15HU in our '93 XJ40, Motorcarman was generous with his knowledge and gave me excellent advice, and a friend on the Jag-Lovers.org forum sent me a Dana/Spicer manual in pdf format. I'll try to find that and post it.

I was able to find quite a few other Dana/Spicer manuals via google searches. There is a good account of the diff rebuild by Martin Voilette in the XJ40 eBook at the Jag-Lovers.org forum. There is also a lot of helpful info at the website for West Coast Differentials. Here's a photo of the helpful literature I found, either online or in the Jaguar service manual from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (mostly for torque specs):

This was the best gear mesh pattern diagram I found, from the West Coast Differentials site:

Here are links to photos of my diff rebuild on our '93 XJ40, which is very similar to the X300:

eBay is a source for rebuildable diffs.
