You still have a pretty lower car and insisted on lowering it more ? lol I think you woulf get right w/ your decision if you bought an X350
Well,if I were you I would go for XJR or XKR suspension parts I think XJR should be compatible not sure for XKR

lowering springs will make your ride suffer, its stiff and the usual characteristic of a jaguar ride is its comfort and control, altering the suspension will make the riding comfort suffer.

The XJR springs a pretty firm by Jaguar standards but I don't think they're any lower than what you have....or at least not appreciably so.

If you're after improved cornering don't forget to add the rear anti-roll bar. Lot's of bang for the buck

Cheers

damn i guess im going to have to sacrifice the comfort because any car looks better lowered. although the x300 is lower than most stock cars it still rides pretty high. im still thinking if i should keep my 18s and lower it or not lower it and get 20s.

I think the Jaguar is the thing sacrificed here. Shame.

Stay with the 18s. Going larger just starts looking plain goofy on a Jag. Just my lousy opinion, of course, as I've never understsood the fascination with the big-Bigger-BIGGEST wheels thing :-).

I was on the passenger seat in the X300 XJR . Yes, it was firmer than my XJ40 but still felt like softer than bimmer 5 .I presumed that XJR was really tough lol

why such a shame in lowering a jaguar? because it sacrifices of the luxurious comfort of the jaguar? dougs is it that big of a sacrifice to you? it still has top of the line interior and one and only jaguar exterior that not even hyundai can try to copy. i think a jaguar lowered a little bit with 18s would be perfect.

Taste aside, if you read enough posts by owners who have lowered various Jaguar models, you will see a common complaint: the car cannot be aligned correctly to avoid increased front tire wear. On your model there is no adjustment for front wheel camber, and the negative camber induced by lowering it cannot be compensated for. If chewing the inner shoulders off an expensive pair of front tires is not something that concerns you, then outfit the car the way that it pleases you most.

Just my opinion iilee. I believe Jaguar has produced one of the most beautiful cars on the road, they are already low to the ground. They don't need much help from owners to improve their look. 18" wheels are alright, you mentioned 20" as an option. I personally put 20" and up wheels for a Jaguar in the same catagory as color-shifting metal-flake paint jobs, velvet interiors, steel-chain steering wheels and neon under carriage lights. But like the over-used term "different strokes for different folks" do what you like. I just hope I don't see it or one similar.

not to mention 20"s would rub like hell.
I've got some 18"s off a younger XJR and even they rub a tiny bit on full lock.

Also I've never seen lowering springs for sale specifically for an X300. I've seen them for X308's, but never for X300's.

Also Jagtech is correct in that the camber will forever be off no matter how you do it; spring clamps, cutting sections off, whatever, since there isn't the adjustment for it.
I searched the ends of the earth looking for ways to lower my XJ6, just because I love the way slammed cars look.
