Ok I'll make this short and sweet. My battery went bad in my x300. So i put the battery from my parts car(97 xj6). It fired right up the first time but the time after that, it wouldn't start. It Would turn over it just wouldn't fire up. My ol ladies brother was there and he said yet starting it with the peddle pushed to the floor board. I did that and it fired right up and blew allot of smoke out the exhaust. Anybody out there ever run into a problem like this? I appreciate any help i can get.

By the way i recently disassembled the air intake all the way up to the throttle body To clean and had to install a new fuel rail.

So, what are you asking?
So far, what we know:
1) It did not start (bad battery)
2) It did start
3) It did not start
4) It did start but blew smoke

So where are we now with starting and what is the question?

 

Thanks for the reply and sorry I'm not very clear. In my head it sounds very clear lol. My question is, why isn't my vehicle running? Where we are at now? If i go try to start it right now, the only way it will start is if i have the pedal to the floor. Would you happen to know why it'll only start when i do this?

 

OK, got it! So, do you have a Check Engine Light? Any OBD codes? Does the engine run after it starts? Run well?
