I just purchased a Battery Tender. The instructions go on about negative or positive ground systems. Isn't the X300 a positive ground?

It says to put the black clip on the negative post and the red to the chassis. How the hell is that going to work?

 

The LAST Jaguars to use positive earth was the GENERATOR equipped cars back in the mid 1960s.
The switch to Alternators was the switch to NEGATIVE EARTH.
