New To Forums Question about 96 XJ6 AC Rear
hello everyone, I am new to the forums. I have a question about my 96 XJ6 cat. I noticed my rear vents in the AC do not blow very hard compared to the rest of the car, I was just wondering if that was normal? Because also, I noticed that the front side AC vents do not blow as hard as the center ones, I was told that was normal, but I am not sure on the rear ones. If anyone knows anything on this please let me know on this issue, thank you all.
I've got a '95 with the same issue. I've posted questions and it seems to be the norm. As long as there is air coming out of all the vents and you can hear both front blowers going, you're probably fine.
ITS CALLED THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE, CLOSE DOWN THE CENTER VENTS SOME TO INCREASE AIR FLOW TO REAR, OR BUY A NEWER XJ WITH ITS OWN SYSTEM FOR THE REAR
disassemble the center armrest console to access ventilation duc then take out plastic duc and clean, the foam on this section usually melt and crack down to small pieces blocking the airpath, ones clean the strenght of wind going through the center console to the rear will become normal.
