Hello all, I am new here. I have a 95 XJ6 BRG in color. I have had it for a few weeks so far and I love it!. Now onto the questions. I noticed when driving at night time with the lights on, the battery gauge will show 14-14.8 But when I stop at a stop light it will drop to 13 volts. It will go back up to 14 when I am driving is that normal? When driving in the daytime it will just stay at 14 and never drop. I believe I have a bad radio as well, the radio will work fine when the car first starts up but after 5-10 minutes it will be all static. Is it the radio or is it the speakers? Thanks in advance

 

I can't speak for the battery issue but as regards the radio, if you try a cassette tape or a CD and it sounds perfect, then you have a fault with either the radio, speakers or antenna.

Speakers are prone to rupture on these. However, haven't known 'em to sound fine at any point once they are decayed. Try using fade and balance controls to listen to each speaker individually and see if you can isolate it. From my limited experience, seems rt. front is first to go, followed by left front.

 

yes your charging system is normal.
