My 95 VDP had been for sale for a while and it attracts more interest from when it is parked on a main street in front of my office than on CL.

I think the CL buyer is the wrong buyer to get decent money for these cars.

I actually bought this car. I also have an xj40 which is a lot of problems but I fell in love with the Jaguar brand and this x300 is a vast improvement in quality. The gentleman that was selling it, Greg, initially listed it for ~$5k. He said the jaguar specialist at the shop valued it at $5600 but that people began telling him that he was nuts. He eventually reduced it and reduced it when it didn't sell- nobody wants a full sized old foreign car. Except for me, but I'm nuts. I eventually bought it for $3000 after two visits and some negotiation and he was pleased to at least let it go to a jaguar enthusiast who would cherish it. I haven't driven it around much yet because it is in the shop but I am pleased with the minimal amount of work it needed; tie rods, shocks, and wheel bearings. I immediately had it detailed and waxed. Pictures to come.
