Default OBDII Code Reset??

Hello All,

Earlier in the week my 96 VDP with 75K all of a sudden start running rough so i plugged in my scanner and got P0304, P1316, and P1314. I ordered a coil from SNG Barratt (which was a pleasure to deal with) and installed earlier this evening. The car runs perfectly smooth now, however, my scanner won't erase the 3 codes. Does anyone know why, I've erased a code in the past from the car with this scanner.

Thanks in advance

The auto parts store will reset for free . Act like you going to buy something .

Thanks, that's what I was thinking I'd have to do tomorrow.

Went to local auto parts store this morning and borrowed their scanner. It read the same 3 codes as mine and easily deleted them turning the check engine light off. So my cheap scanner is able to read faults but not erase even though it's suppose to.
