Default Parts Commonality: X300 v. X308

Can anyone confirm the front fenders are the same between the two?

How 'bout headlight assy's?

(Particularly left side)

If by 'fender' you mean what us across the pond call 'wings', then yes, they are the same.
Lights are different but an internet search will tell you how to swap the pretty poor x300 lights for much better/brighter x308 lights.

You will need the headlamp harnesses from the X308 because the pilot lamps moved from the dip beam headlamp to the main beam lamp assy. and the bulbs are different.

I still have the speakers you asked about.

Yeah, I mean "wing" but fortunately, it seems there are plenty available in the local yards from either X300's or X308's...so now just to find a nice shiny black one... btw...anyone know if "Black" on a VDP in '95 changed to some other "black" between then and 2003?

hmmmm...speechless....my X300 has (had?) the best set of headlights of any car I've ever owned....or maybe they are spot-on and everything else has been very poorly adjusted...

I am only interested in reconstructing the front left corner I crunched yesterday in a real boneheaded move. (I'm all for destroying the left wing.....but not on my precious Jaaag....I meant that OTHER left wing!!!)
Anyway, managed to remove the left wing (another pleasant thought, but I digress) and headlamp assy this evening, and I believe the headlamp assy is repairable: Ripped the (outboard) adjuster assy out of the housing and broke its ball joint. Broke the socket-pocket for another outboard lamp ball joint but have more than half the circle still there and the socket and broken pc. rode home on the undertray from FTW. It is still a good tight fit, but hopefully I can find that rarest of commodities this side of unobtainium....adhesive that bonds whatever flavor plastic that is...and do a serviceable repair. Adjuster hole is a bit torn up but it also fits back in quite snugly. Headlamp lenses survived unscathed and all bulbs still work except the "parking" lamp; not sure if that is dipped-beam or what it is called, "Pilot?" but the bulb in the outboard lamp that comes on when switch is moved to first detent.

Ah well...the yard in SE Dallas that has a black fender from a 96 also claims to have the headlamp assy, LH...though I think all I really need is a single pc from the adjustment kit, JLM12118. Dare I even ask if those are available and at what price?

Bob,
I'll call you tomorrow...er...wow...lookit the time! today, I mean..but at a more gentlemenly hour......
