Passenger side Headrest
Hi Guys,
I gave the inside a good clean for the first time in my ownership last wkd, and considering how badly the car has been looked after by the last owner I was please with how well it came up:
When I got to the front seat I found the passenger front seats moves in all directions, its just the headrest doest go down, personally i think it looks quite ugly up to its full extent.
Any tips on how to fix this appreciated.....

Well, if you have non electrical adjustment then a sort of waggling shove downwards.
If electrical, then the round switch on the rearmost side of the seat. Press the base of this, to lower and the top part to raise.
The ignition should be pos 11 or the front door open.
The drivers manual is available for download from the FAQ above, you need pages 24 to 30.

I replied to a similar post on jag-lovers but here it is here: My tip would be to be extremely careful when removing the controls
because both it and the section of plastic clips into are easily
broken. I'd be inclined to check everything else first. Remove the
seat and then remove the seat back panel to get access to the motor
and it's power cables. See if you are getting power to the motor
when you depress the button. Check the plugs have not come loose
either to the controls or to the motor. Check there is nothing
obstructing the headreast and check that it's 'legs' are enguaged
in their ball and socket things. You'll obviously need to reconnect
the seat to it's harness to check for power.
