My 97 XJR has pin stripes along the base of the side windows. They are kind of a gray translucent striping that has "Jaguar" in the striping at the end of the stripe on the back side windows.

It looks nice, and looks factory or at least dealer installed, but I've never seen this before.

I've attached a photo (admittedly not a very good one!) where you can see the striping on the two passenger door windows.

Anyway, so I have two questions:

1) Is this factory, or a dealer option.... or aftermarket?
2) What is the best way to maintain and care for this striping? It is a matte finish that may be looking like it is drying out a bit, or maybe that is just the way it is supposed to look. But sometimes it looks like it is getting scratched, but when it gets wet, it looks fine again.

I've never seen or heard of it before. I feel safe in saying "aftermarket" but others will chime in.
