Also note we have seen multiple times that a replacement alternator works fine but the car still shows errors.
I recommend getting your original alternator rebuilt if you can. Then zero worries about compatibility.

We all know how picky Jaguars are when it comes to electrical stuff!

Hello,

I managed to find a local tech that specialises in rebuilding Alternators and Starter Motors, He tested the Alternator on his test rig and confirmed there was no output. He then found that two major components had failed. (Plug broke upon dismantling) These have now been replaced and I reinstalled the alternator this morning. All working.

If anyone does require help getting there Alternator overhauled please fee free to contact me and I will assist as best as I can.

I have a few minor electrical problems which I am working through:
No Electric aerial
No wipers (They were working)
Bulb warning light is on when I put the lights on yet ALL Bulbs are working
No sound from stereo (Harman Kardon Audio System)

My terminal screw on the brush / VR ears as yours was fused as well so I need a brush assembly so a heads up for others.

On the current sensors in the exterior light module give you the bulb out :

Too low a current from the 4 car corner 13 pin connector under the car getting corroded

To low a current from the lamp pinched end with the contact ears that can be spung back out

A lamp assemble back end can get corrosion as the wires enter the lamp assemble , EV - 1 connector type

The connectors are EV 1 series and you can cut a service wire length from a trunk dome light ( 2 ) and splice in

For the premium stereo there are 2 fuses in the left heelboard fuse box and one in the trunk

On the wipers there are 2 relays of the same part # as the headlight . fog . AC clutch and such that can be swapped , the wires can come loose from the column switch as there are some pics from others

Someone was able to replace the capacitor in the motor to get going again
