Default Please help with the proper door clips..-)

I recently have a new sound system installed in my car and the installer broke a few of the clips that hold the door panel to the actual door.

I found a few style online and wanted to see if anyone knew which ones were the proper ones to use on this model car. I found 2 styles..one has a hook on the end of it and other look like he standard style that you see..The push style not the hook

Please help.

Thanks

It looks like the one you have pictured is technically fine, but the female piece (the clear plastic bit) is stuck into the male piece (black one). I've had similar issues with the door retaining clips. Honestly, I'd take what you have into a Jaguar dealership. They will sell what you need for a few bucks a piece. No big deal, and you won't have to worry about getting the right parts.

The ones on my '96 X300 are the hook style, both front and rear doors.

I currently have my door panels removed.

TopHatChef is correct that the clear female receptacle piece currently installed on the clip in your picture should remain in the door to receive the male clip when the door panel is installed

Hi I just went through the same ordeal, After removing the door panel a few times to replace the switch pack and door cable, I broke three of these clips. I managed to source some from an ebay seller but also saw them available from online Jag parts stores.
As I'm in Australia and I couldn't find them locally, the clips themselves were not too expensive however the postage charges they attached amounted to the majority of the cost.
The Clips, clip on to metal rod or wire running through the door panel and although I was prepared to use some epoxy resin (gasp) the door finished up as good as new with just the replacement clips.

Exactly the same situation for me. After considering all alternatives, decided to order from Jaguar Classic Parts (Jaguar Heritage).
The high cost was because of postage. The clips themselves are fairly priced.
Good luck.

I got a bag of them from a breaker for minimal cost. Got extra, just in case...

Default I should of added

I ended up getting 5 clips from ebay seller eastcoastcarparts2002 on eBay
but also saw them available at JustJagsUK.com - Jaguar Parts | Jaguar Spares.
I only ended up needing three so have a couple spare, I think the next time I need to take the door skin off Ill invest in some tools designed for the purpose.

I just replaced mine after replacing speakers. The door card is so much tighter now. I did both the clip and the receptacle (clear). I ordered from my local dealer. It was cheap. $12 did both front doors. I didn't replace all of the black clips though. Maybe a half dozen.
