The starter quit and when I removed it I remember a brown wire attached to the bottom right terminal on the solenoid. I bought a used starter from a salvage yard and it came with a small brown wire attached to the same terminal but had been cut at about 4 inches.
When I went to install the starter I could not find the small brown wire to attach to the solenoid. Without it the starter cranks but the engine does not fire. I have spent hours looking for the wire, it may have broken off from the loom. The Jaguar wiring diagram does not show it.
Can someone help with what part of the wiring loom it comes from or where it attaches in the circuit.
Thank you,
