I'm in the same boat - have a 1997 XJR black on black with 78,000 miles.
The problem is that it needs the lower tensioner replaced, little things like the cupholder and headliner, and could use a new paint job. Don't really have the time to deal with it right now even though I would love to fix it and keep forever.
