Default Power seat issues

For awhile now the front driver seat memory hasn't worked at all and i would love to have the working agian. The seat works with the manual control on the sides in all the usual positions. It stays in the same position at all times when i get in or get out it doesn't go backwards. I've heard no noise of it trying to do so either. Also my passenger seat has called the quits all together and would love fix them while i have time on my hands. Please get back to me on this issue.

Repair of those memory seats is tedious at best, but it can be done. If you are good with a wiring diagram and a volt-ohmmeter, you can make them work again. Attached is a bulletin that helps a bunch.

For the passenger side, try getting to the seat module and disconnecting it for a minute. The modules can lock up and leave the seat inoperable. De-powering it can restore operation, but it if it keeps happening, it will have to be replaced.

Good luck!

With this post I was able to fix mine.

Can you test something for me please?

I hope you are not very tall, because this will require some weird sit position haha.

Get in the car and close the door, put in your key and be sure that also the button under your steer is set to auto.

Now move your chair completely backward, the seat itself not the back. Press the memory button and then on #1 and #2, you should here a beep now.

Okay do the same thing again but now move it all the way to the front, watch for you legs ;-)
Press the memory button and press #1 and #2, again you should here a beep.

Now remove the key.

Tell me what happens please. Still the same, no movement?
