power steering pump replacement
Hello folks,
I am replacing the power steering pump shortly. Looks easy enough, although that 3rd bolt at the back is definitely going to cause some grief.
There's a banjo bolt on the pump, and looks like it uses 2 washers.
Can these 2 washers be reused? Or do I need to get new ones? I am assuming they are regular crush washers? They are listed @ $10ea online, and if I can get regular copper washers, I don't imagine they would be more than 25c/ea.
Thanks

I took that "grief" bolt out FIRST, that way the weight of the pump is NOT on that bolt, so it "should" simply undo.
I also used generic copper washers from my stash, NO leaks, NO grief.
The plastic coupler is FUN, haha, so I used a small "dab" of RTV to hold it in place whilst reinstalling the pump into the drive. A couple of beers whilst the RTV dried enough to keep the coupler intact.
The supply hose from the container TO the pump was also renewed, with generic hydraulic hose, and again, NO leaks.
