Default Probably an idiot question but ...

I'm a great believer in if ain't bust don't fix it but on the other hand maintenance is good.

Is there any reason not to run some liquid injector cleaner through the X300? Just some boring STP stuff or something like that - I guess it's potential for doing anything really positive is limited but can it ever do any harm?

In my other diesel car I do run some through every 20,000 miles or so and it might make a little difference I can't really tell but I feel like I have been good to the engine

Not a daft question Mike, I put a bottle of injector cleaner in my tank once a year and I have never had a problem.
Proactive maintenance is a good thing.

Some pour-in-the-tank cleaners are of dubious worth but ....so if it feels good, it's Ok to do it
