Rear lower shock bush
Is it possible to replace the rear shock lower bush by undoing
the bolt and jacking the swinging arm up to clear the bottom
of the shock enabling the old bush to be drawn out and the new
one back in?

Depends how you hold your mouth.
The "shperical bearing" is TIGHT in the eye of the shocker, and mine registered 4.3 tonne on the press before it let go. Then add UK, and rust/salt to the equation, and luck would really have to be on your side.
My opinion only of course.

It is confirmed that rear lower shock bushings can be replaced on the vehicle my problem however is the lower shock bolt is frozen inside the shock.
Does anyone have any tips on how to remove this frozen bolts?
Turns with an impact gun but stuck inside the Shock bushing.

It appears that the lower shock bushing is readily available for about $20 for the X300, the part number is CCC6782 and fits all X300 models from what I can tell.
Like many, I have worn out lower rear bushings, and it would be fantastic to be able to just replace them on the car.
It was mentioned above that "it has been confirmed" that the bushings can be changed while on the car, and if so it would be great if someone could post a "how to" (or a link to a how to).
Just replacing the rear lower shock bushings on the car would save a huge amount of time and money

Like Grant said, the spherical joint is in pretty tight and it's hard to exert enough force with a homemade push/puller tool. You can remove the springs without dropping the rear end if you just lower it a bit then the shock is easy to get out and taken to a press.
