Anyone have tips on how this is performed? I have the headliner completely out and, recovered everything and replaced the sunroof with a new/used one. The newly covered inner panels are out and ready to go back in. Can someone explain how these go back in (i.e. the procedure)?

From what I remember, the skinny piece in the back goes in from the rear of the sunroof rails - yes, the headliner should be down for this. There are stops in the end of the rail. Pull them out, slide in the panel, replace the stops.

The bigger piece just slides in from the top side with the roof open.

I recovered all mine when I recovered the headliner.

Search for Motorcarman posts here in the X300 section. I recall he has posted several TSB's and instructions on the sunroof. Not sure he has covered R&R of the inner panels but worth a shot...
