Default Remember my vibration ??

It turned out to be the Fan spindle was goosed !!

JAGUAR X300/330 FAN UNIT REPLACEMENT

I had been getting a vibration noise from the engine and it turned out the spindle in the top
fan had worked its way loose so the fan was shaking.

I spoke to a parts company and the told me £383.00 ++ for a new one

How many do they sell at that price?

I went on ebay and got one for £15.00 incl postage

Thanks for the write-up ... no doubt someone will need this one day (probably me ).

BTW, for those who don't know what Hammerite is (like me), it's rust treatment/prevention.

Nice snag on the extremely discounted price! Another option I investigate, for things like replacement motors, is an industrial supply house. Here in the US, Grainger is very popular - bring the motor in and they'll match it.
