Default remove windshield washer reservoir 97 vanden plas

Hello,
I am trying to remove and replace the existing windshield washer reservoir. I have removed the flap with in the passenger side fender well. I can access the hose, electrical connector to the pump and two of the bolts....I do not see any access to the ones closest to the front of the car??? Anyone know the best approach to this?

thanks

I did this with mine, and after lots of language gave up.

Later that weekend I decided to remove the front bumper to reset the adjusters on the mount pods, and generally clean things up, new car desease, and there is the bottle waiting to fall out. Mine does NOT have the undertray, so bumper removal is more simple than those with that tray.

Default Thank you

Hi Grant,
Thank you, unfortunately I was hoping not to have to pull the bumper. Unfortunately this is a really bad design placing the reservoir this low on a car. I just purchased this car to fix up and the previous owner must have hit a curb to break the reservoir.
Warmest regards,
Rogerk

On my '95, which should be the same design, I don't recall having any difficulty pulling my reservoir out. I removed the flap as suggested and all bolts were easily accessible. It dropped out through the bottom, I fixed the crack in it with plastic welder, and it has been problem free for 2 years now.

Thanks for your comments. I was able to get in and drop it out of the bottom of the car. The new reservoir has been installed all is working great.

I am actually in the process of repairing mine as well. Is the welder basically a soldering iron?

Hello Mekenik<
I believe the welder that bhmax refers to is a type of plastic glue.
He might better answer this.
thanks Roger
