How do I remove/replace the center chrome trim on the front bumper? I'm assuming you have to remove the whole bumper to get it off so if I can get any input on bumper removal also it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

got the front bumper off today and got all the screws but one out for the trim. I actually stripped the screw trying to get it off. I don't know what to do now. I've wd40'd it a couple times, hammered it with a screwdriver to the back of it, tried to pull it out with pliers from the top, and I can't get anything to work. Any suggestions?

 

Try pb blaster (its a penetrating oil) let it soak in, then if you still cant get the bolt out,drill it out.

 

I had exactly the same issue when working on my bumpers and had to break off the screw heads in question to remove the chrome. This wasn't difficult as the screws were so badly corroded in most cases. Then I drilled / punched out the remainder of the screw and drilled out the screw holes to a slightly larger size and renewed the screws when refitting.How were your bumper mounts? These usually suffer from corrosion also!
