Smile Replacing Headlight Washers

Hi there. I'm a nubi to the site from Whitby, Ontario Canada. Has anyone ever replaced headlight washers on an XJ6? I have a 1997 in great shape but have busted washer housings on the front bumper. I'm pretty handy with tools. Is it very difficult to do? Any special equipment required? Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can provide.

The Headlamp PowerWash section from the Parts Manual may help explain exactly which part is broken:

If it's the Powerwash Jet (item 4), this appears to be a unit with no separate component parts available.

Thanks again Graham. All the parts for the washers I have. The main problem is that the plastic crome(?) spray housings keep breaking off.

The whole Jet Assembly (circled in blue), not just the nozzles (circled in red)?

On my later X308, the Jet Assembly was secured to the Bumper with two fixing screws going down into the Bumper from the top. The chromed plastic cover then snapped on top.

My X300 didn't have Powerwash and, although I've seen them on other X300's, have never had occasion to remove them. The diagram from the Parts Manual suggests it's a different fixing method.

Can you post a pic of the underside of the base of the Jet Assembly to give a clue as to how it may be meant to secure?

Graham
