Reprogram Which Part.

Hi, just wondering, do i reprogram the new ECU to the transponder, or do i reprogram the transponder in the ignition key to the ECU. It seems the codes have to match before i can start My car, which is a 1997 3.2 xj6. Regards, Robert.

UK spec cars have chipped keys that must be programmed to the Security & Locking Control Module (SLCM). Dealer level diagnostics are required.
