Hi, I am also contemplating an xjr-6 engine into my 85 xjs 3.6 manual. I have a complete 1995 xjr automatic(uk spec security system) as a doner vehicle. My question is regarding the security built into the ecm. Can this be removed/disabled as my xjs does not have any immobilizer system. If not then which modules are involved in the security system that i would need to transfer from the xjr to the xjs. Also would an ids system reflash the ecm and change the configuration to make the ecm think it was a manual gearbox xjr? Sorry if this post offends anyone as this is my first post and im not sure of the rules of engagement or if i should start a fresh thread on this amazing forum. Kind regards Gary
