Radio Security Code?
I went shopping this morning and got back in my 2003 XJR R1 and noticed my mirrors pointing at the ground and the radio said enter code. I reset the mirrors and when I parked the car again hit the remote to unlock it and the mirrors powered to the extreme down position. Resetting the seat memory seems to have fixed that but the radio won't come on. It is an Alpine, I don't know of any security code for it, I punched in 000 and enter and for the last eight hours it says please wait. Does anyone know how to fix this? What happened.
Is the Alpine original to the car? If not, you have a problem. If the radio is original to the car, call Jaguar National HQ. They'll tell you the code over the phone as long as you give them the VIN.
Thank you for the info, the radio is original to the car, I will give them a call. Do you have any idea what would have caused this, I just parked the car with everything acting normally and came back out, used the remote to unlock the car and suddenly the mirrors powered to the extreme down position and the radio read enter code. I would like to avoid this condition in the future.
Thanks XJR Pilot, I phoned the Jaguar National HQ, they gave me the security code and it worked. Awesome!

I have the problem with the radio blocked on my XJS just purchased in US and imported to Europe last year.
I contacted Jaguar here in Europe, but the is no registered numbers for the cars exported to USA in past.
I will try to contact Jaguar USA as I can read on this forum they should be able to help me. Can you share with me the contact where are you got the code, please?
thank you very much in advance!

Hello
Thank you for your quick replay Vincent 661983!
This is also the first thing I did - contacted Jaguar France, they sent me to the dealer, so I contacted the dealer close to me but apparently my car is not on the register. It is maybe due the car age, 30 years, so considered vintage car here in Europe, or maybe because the car was sold originally in US? I will try to contact the USA dealer, probably they have my Jag in the specific US listing?
Would you mind to give me the contact to your Jag dealer, please?
Best regards
