Seriously!?! Jag ad with false info.
So, I always look across the state to see what cars like mine are selling for. Here's an ad I thought I'd share. Lets see what they did wrong. There was one thing that really bothered me.

Info (in case the ad is removed):
Most reliable Jaguar ever built. I am the 3rd owner. Interior looks the same as it did when I bought it two years ago, I would just like something sportier.
Wired for bass but subwoofers and amp are an extra $400
Fuel Consumption: City: 17, Fuel Consumption: Highway: 23, 3 Memory Settings for seat(includes mirrors, seat, and wheel position), Power Windows, Drivers Window Automatic, Cruise Control, 4-Wheel ABS Brakes, Front Disc Brakes, Passenger Airbag, Power Steel Sunroof, Cassette Player, AM/FM Stereo, Front Fog/Driving Lights, Leather Steering Wheel Trim, Trip Computer, External Temperature Display, Tachometer, Power Remote Driver Mirror Adjustment, Front Reading Lights, Anti-Theft Alarm System, Leather Seat Upholstery, Bucket Front Seats, Tilt And Steering Wheel, Automatic Front Air Conditioning, Fuel Type: Premium Unleaded, Fuel Capacity: 23.1, Regular Front Stabilizer Bar, Front Suspension Stabilizer Bar, Variable Intermittent Front Wipers, Overhead Console. Made the first year Ford took over Jaguar.

I thought Ford acquired Jaguar Cars in 1989. Maybe the seller has inside information showing that they didn't "take over" until whichever year his '96 was made......
Writer appears to have left some things out, but that doesn't necessarily make it "wrong" (power driver's side mirror...) pax side is power too...but maybe it doesn't work... nice to know the wheel tilts AND steers...but if a prospective buyer...I think I'd rather know how many miles it has on the clock....or did I miss that somewhere?

Honestly, it was the year that Ford acquired Jaguar that got me most. That, and saying that the seller wants something "sportier" means the car has been driven hard, that, and not knowing how many miles are on the car, and how many the seller put on the car should worry a potential buyer.
Not to mention, those mundane features don't need to be mentioned. AM/FM radio? I'd hope so. It was the ads I read before this that worked me up to the edge, the above one moved me over the edge.

I do like that part. The interior isn't worse off of the seller having owned it, of course, it certainly isn't better. Of course, if it's not worse after two years of use, how bad was it to begin with? Assuming the seller isn't OCD with cleanliness, of course, he could have mentioned some of his maintenance techniques.
