Slightly Urgent Power Steering Question

Mine looked like this and it was a bit lumpy to steer. It uses normal steering fluid. I used some which said it had 'conditioner' in it. I topped it up so that plastic thing in the middle was covered. It works a lot better now. I get no oil drips under my 97 XJ-Sport.

Eventually I got my local (seriously it's less than 2 miles away) Independent Jaguar Mechanic to fit the recon rack.
Steering cured and interestingly tram-lining as well - had diminished with better tyres but this improved it a fair bit further.
