Default Slinging Oil and running like Garbage

Hello all,

well the title says it all. Last night my car was running like garbage while i was going down the road. Noticed in my rear view that the exhaust was smokey (not white oil smoke) with a super rich gas smell. I got home and opened the hood and there was oil all over the belts and alternator and it was being slung all over the hood and the air box. It seems to be very bad over on the side with the air box but not near the compressor. I de-greased the engine last night to see if i could locate the oil leak.

Any ideas? Yes I know my belt needs to be changed.

Thanks guys!

The only things i can think of in that area are the oil filter and the little bypass connector for where the oil cooler would be fitted. Check your filter hasnt come loose, then look at the U shaped bypass connector. It has O rings eaxh end, and one of those could have failed. And check your oil level!!!

Well,

Pretty unbelievably it looks like that was the culprit. the half donut-shaped oil bypass connector thingy it is definitely leaking. I am just amazed that it is leaking enough to go to the front of the engine where the belts are and sling oil everywhere but stranger things have happened.

Does anyone know where to get good quality O-rings for this thingamajig in the USA?

Thanks
