crap, stupid iPhone! I'm trying to figure out how the stainless door trim is safely removed. I have a ding in one of my window surrounds on my rear door.

Default mmmmmm

Get a piece of 2 inch by 1 inch by about twelve inch wood. Take off, peel back the door rubbers around the door top surround. Look carefully at the return edges of the trim. You will see a small kick out return edge on the inside door frame edge of the trim. Lay the two inch section against this edge at the beginning of the trim you want to remove. I seem to remember that the top trim has to come off first. Could be wrong.Gently try hitting the end of the wood to spring the trim off. Work carefully from the top corner edge towards the front and it should come of with just a little resistance. Putting them back may need to be hit to get it to spring on, but its best to use a well padded piece of wood so as not to dent the trim and work on the edge with the return kick. ie: the top edge. That's how we used to do it in the trade. If unsure please ask further
