Starting problems this morning.....
It was all a bit annoying as I had driven 120 miles on friday and most probably about 40miles over the week-end. Car last used 7.30pm last night
I went out to the car this morning 5.40am to leave for the midlands and on the first turn of the key of which it normally starts it didnt quite catch, the 2nd and 3rd turn I just got a high pitch squeal I new it wasnt going to start.
As I was suited and booted I wasnt about to get oily my self so out with the AA. I suspected the starter motor. So lets hear what they say.
After a text advising someone should be with me in the hr nearly an 1 1\2hr later he arrived. As they are paid only £40 a call to get you on your way thats litterally what he did.
He removed the furthest plug and told me I'd flooded it and then kept on tturning the key untill it started and then revved the b0ll0cks of it without exagerating.....
I wansnt convinced with his diagnosis and didnt want to be stranded at my destination so I called in at my local garage on route to the motorway.
As suspected a starter motor problem - I was told it most probably it had some damaged teeth and the SM had stopped in line with them and hence not starting. Even though the same situation may not raise its head for another 6 months
Ive ordered another SM anyway....
