My steering rack is leaking making a mess on the floor. Have read most of the treads including the use of Lucas stop leak. Since the pump is working fine I am a little concerned about the Lucas causing a future pump problem. That fluid is thicker that the Dexron III. Don't want to damage a good pump. Also have tried the Lucas and it doesn't seem to help.

Will replace the rack as soon as I replace the upper cam chain tensioners on my 2000 XK8 that Ken Karr just sent me.
