If you recall, I was dealing with an erratic instrument panel. 90% of the responses suggested that the problem was likely a bad coil, well in that I had installed new coils just a couple of months prior, and the car was running fine; and my diagnostic computer gave no error codes I didn't think that was the problem in my case. But low and behold within the week that car started missing, so with a quick dianostic check, you guessed it, A BAD COIL. Replace thhe coil, everything back to normal. The moral of the story; not all new parts are good parts

True, not all new parts are created equal, and in the case of coils this is especially true. We've found only one supplier of coils that seem to work and last, all other aftermarket coils seem to fail very soon. More info here:
